According to the users:

① infantry body armor. Using by infantry, Marine corps, etc. It offers body protection.

② Special personnel body armor. Mainly used when performing special tasks. On the basis of infantry bulletproof vests, the protective functions of neck protection, shoulder protection and abdomen protection are added, which increases the protection area. The front body and the back are provided with insert pockets for inserting bulletproof plates to improve the ballistic performance.

③Artillery body armor. Mainly used by artillery in combat, it can protect people from fragmentation and shock wave damage.

According to the materials :

①soft body armor. Bullet-proof layer is generally made of multi-layer fiber fabric with high strength and high modulus. When bullets and fragments penetrate into the bulletproof layer, they produce directional shear, tensile and delamination damage to consume its energy.

②Hard body armor. The bulletproof layer is usually made of metal materials, laminates made of high-strength and high-modulus fiber resin-based composite materials by heating and pressing, bullet-proof ceramics and high-strength and high-modulus fiber composite boards. The bulletproof layer of metal material mainly consumes the energy of the projectile through the deformation and fragmentation of the metal material. The ballistic layer dissipates projectile energy through delamination, ramming, resin matrix rupture, fiber extraction and fracture. The bulletproof layer is made of bulletproof ceramic and high-strength and high-modulus fiber composite board. When the high-speed projectile collides with the ceramic layer, the ceramic layer diffuses around the bullet impact point to consume most of the energy of the projectile. Then the modulus fiber composite board further dissipates the remaining energy of the projectile.

③Soft and hard combined body armor. The surface layer is made of hard bulletproof material, and the inner is soft bulletproof material. When the bullets and fragments hit the surface of the bulletproof vest, the bullets, fragments and the hard material of the surface layer are deformed or broken, consuming most of the energy of the bullets and fragments. The soft material of the inner lining absorbs and diffuses the energy of the remaining part of the bullet and fragmentation, which reduces non-penetrating damage.
